Jeena Ostapenko has been on a roll this week following an impressive victory that secured her place in the finals.

The 24-year-old Latvian tennis pro and Petra Kvitova will fight against each other in the final of the Viking International for the 9th time in their careers.

They are to battle it out  on Saturday (June 25) at 12:30 pm on Centre Court.  Interestingly, the last time that they fought against each other, Ostapenko won  in the quarter in Dubai earlier in February 2022.

The game promises to be very exciting and captivating full packed with action. The Latvian ranked 14th, advanced to the final by defeating Ajla Tomljanovic Madison Keys, Anhelina Kalinina, and Camila Giorgi.

Ostapenko defeated Giorgi in straight sets in the semifinals (6-2 6-2). Ostapenko scored 60 points to Giorgi’s 42 during the match. Ostapenko was aggressive in her pursuit of 25 winners.

She happens to be born to Jeļena Jakovļeva and Jevgēnijs Ostapenko in Riga, Latvia.
