Guard Ryan Rollins, who the Washington Wizards released on Monday, is being accused of shoplifting from a Target store on multiple occasions, according to court documents.

The documents, filed in Alexandria General District Court and first viewed by The Athletic, assert that Rollins allegedly committed the crimes seven times between Sept. 9-Nov. 9.

He was charged with seven counts of petit larceny.

The former Wizards point guard — who had a base salary of $1.7 million this year, according to Spotrac — is alleged to have taken small household items that include groceries, body wash and candles.

The items he is alleged to have stolen are all valued at less than $1,000, which classifies it as a Class 1 misdemeanor in the state of Virginia.

According to the state’s law, a Class 1 misdemeanor charge can come with a “confinement in jail for not more than 12 months and a fine of not more than $2,500, either or both.”

Rollins has not entered a plea, according to The Athletic.

He is scheduled to next appear in court in Virginia on Feb. 7, according to court documents.

“We just recently learned of the charges against Ryan,” Monumental Basketball president Michael Winger told The Athletic. “We cannot comment on that matter, or the basis for our roster decisions.”

Rollins played in 10 regular season games for the Wizards this season, averaging 4.1 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 6.6 minutes.

His last appearance for Washington came on Dec. 27 in a loss to the Raptors, as Rollins put up two points in six minutes on the floor.

Rollins arrived in Washington, D.C., after he was traded from the Warriors in the deal that sent Chris Paul to Golden State and sent Jordan Poole, Patrick Baldwin Jr., Rollins, a 2027 second-pick and a top-20 protected 2030 first-round pick to the Wizards.

Originally a second-round pick of the Hawks, Rollins has appeared in 22 NBA games.
